why we put people at the center of everything we do
I believe that the biggest barrier to success is how an organization is set up and how it treats its people, especially in purpose-driven sectors and organizations. How can we expect to change the world when the way we do the work relies on systems and structures that perpetuate the status quo?
It’s time to be bigger, bolder, and braver so that we can truly have a shot at making the change we wish to see - at a time when the world desperately needs it.
I am convinced that we will achieve our goals faster and more effectively if we build organizations that are structured to support individual and collective thriving. Especially when those goals are to make the lives of individuals, our communities and the world better in meaningful ways.
values that guide our work
Keep people at the center. It always starts and ends with people.
Be curious. Actively listen with empathy and an open mind; lead with questions not answers.
Think abundantly. There is always a way; be a creative problem solver, open to new ways of doing things.
Get comfortable being uncomfortable. Trust the process; be willing to suspend judgment or action to create space for learning and growth.
Start with co-creation. No single person has all the answers, but together we can do great things.
Work with not for. We are partners, equally invested in the work and accountable to one another. We don’t write reports; we work with you to co-create new ways of working and being. We help you change the way you work.
about me
I am a strategy and design leader with 20 years’ experience creating direction from uncertainty for growing and changing organizations using Human-Centered Design.
I focus in particular on values-based strategic planning and on organizational effectiveness by aligning organizational design, operations and culture.
I have crisscrossed the private, public and nonprofit sectors - and the world - leading to a well-rounded and diverse skill set to facilitate the design and implementation of action-oriented strategy, build values-aligned cultures, and guide teams through growth and change. I have a particular knack for cultivating and strengthening teams, partnerships and networks to build momentum across cultures, as well as across sectors that may speak different languages such as healthcare, financial services, and sustainable development.
